Merry Christmas Everyone

Merry Christmas Everyone! I am so glad it's finally here. The presents are wrapped and for the most part, under the tree. Abigail is such a delight. We are starting on solids and I must admit, she is not enjoying it as much as I thought she would. I am afriad to let her try peaches or she might never eat any veggies. To watch her try and eat squash is just a sad shame.

Riley is getting to be a big little girl. Just look at this picture. I can hardly believe she is 3. She got herself dressed again this morning. Pink Leggings, a blue and red dress, and of course a purple tutu. I should have taken a picture of that...but then again this is a daily ritual with her.

Abigail is our snuggle bug. I just can't put her down. I love to have her in my lap at all times. I know she wont always let me snuggle with her, so I am taking advantage of what time I have to snuggle now.

Riley is a great big sister. She doesn't usually like to go anywhere without her Aba. We have been truly blessed this year with a wonderful family. God is Great y'all.

New videos of Halloween and Abby Rolling over.

I finally got around to uploading video of ABIGAIL rolling over. She started at the beginning of October. (Crazy)

Riley loved halloween. The night didn't last long since it started to rain. We went to the church for the trunk or treat. Riley wasn't very happy with the guy in the video when he only gave her one treat.

Happy Halloween

Ok, so Halloween has come and gone, but I am just getting our pictures up here for all to see. Riley was a fairy princess and Abby was a very cute Sunflower. She did not think it was amusing at all to be dressed as a flower. Riley made it around to a few houses and then off to the church for the massive trunk or treat before the rain came down. She ended the night with a happy meal and a cupcake. Anyone for a sugar rush?

Rolling rolling rolling!

Abby has started to roll over from her back to front and front to back. From the looks of these pictures, I think we have a character on our hands. This weekend she started talking or should I say squalking.

It rained most of the weekend, but we were able to get out long enough to pick out a couple of pumpkins to paint and carve. The picture of Riley on the tractor is from a couple of weeks ago at her papa's.

October is HERE!

Abigail is smiling and laughing at her daddy. She has learned to blow raspberries, which she does constantly.

Riley started to take dance last Thursday. I had to take a picture of her this morning after we got dressed for class. Looks like she might be a natural.

Fall is in the Air...but so is the rain. :-(

The last few days we have stayed inside and out of the rain. (That can be a hard thing to do when you are two.)

Riley and her buddy Gray spent the afternoon at Monkey Joe's, while their dads were at the Carolina game. (She might wear gamecock colors, but she is quick to inform you that a cheerleader says "GO GATORS".)

Riley loves to help in the kitchen, so I have to find things that she can help with. Sometimes it means we all eat half eaten fruit for dinner because she taste tests everything for us.

Abigail is growing growing growing. Full of smiles and happy coos. The hair still won't stay down, but it is all a part of her personality now.

Riley and Abby played in the bath together for the first time tonight.

It's so hard to get a picture of Abigail. She moves so much that it takes 20 shots to get one where she is actually looking at the camera. This is one after bath time. Happy as can be.

Baby Dedication

We dedicated the girls at church on Sunday. We went and had pictures made for the service and had a great time at the studio. (It was pure chaos! But we survived.) the pictures are already 3 weeks old, but you can at least see how Abigail is growing.
Riley still loves her little sister, but there are moments I think she would like to trade her in.
I started back to work today. Which means that Abigail had to go to daycare. I know she faired better than I did.

Update on the Girls

Abigail is growing like a weed. She had her 2 week checkup and all went well. Her crazy spike hair has taken over. She is sleeping and eating well and we are all adjusting to HER schedule quite nicely.
Riley is great at being the big sister. There are moments where she tries to have Abby come play catch with her. Bless Abby's heart, if she wasn't born with a hard head, Riley is bound to make sure she has one soon.

I am adding a few pictures of the girls over the last week. They Nana took lots of pictures and I know the girls will surely miss her now that she is gone.

Nana was very good at helping sooth Abby to sleep. I can only hope I am as good at it as she is.

8 lbs 3 ozs

Abigail Elizabeth made her appearance last night at 8:23 pm. She looks a lot like her big sister did when she was born. She is doing great and Riley is loving the big sister role already.

Today's the Day!

Brent and I are all checked in to the hospital. I started having contractions on Tuesday afternoon, but things just never got routine so we came in this morning to be induced. We told Riley last night that we were going to go get Abby today. She seemed excited. I can't wait to see her reaction when Abby is actually here.

a day at the Zoo

We had a pretty exciting Father's day weekend. No Abby to report, yet fun was had by all. Brent and Riley went to a birthday party at the zoo. They even saw an escape snake. This is the second time Riley has been to the zoo when this snake has made an appearance. Could she be a snake whisperer? Watch out Harry Potter...we might have a Parcelmouth on our hands.

We had a nice Father's Day. Calls to the Grandpa's and songs of Happy Birthday. Riley believes Happy Birthday to you is the official celebration song.

I kept my feet up and played with the video camera some more. I think we have finally figured it out.

2 Weeks and counting

I'm there! Ready and waiting. It was 100 degrees outside today and I am starting to complain. This little one keeps making me think that everynight just might be the night. Bring on the hot and spicy food.

I have decided to never tell a pregnant woman the following:

1. You look like you are ready!

2. I bet you go early.

My goodness those are really mean things to say. They don't sound bad, yet to a 38 week pregnant woman, please don't get my hopes up. Instead, I promise to say things like, Wow you look great! and You are how far along? Wow you don't look it!

Enough with the rant,

We got a video camera so I had to try it out and see if I can put things on this site. Here is Riley playing. I think this will come in handy this weekend, Brent is going to take Riley to the zoo.

Fun packed week...

We celebrated family, a milestone birthday, graduation, and an "I think it might be broken" moment this week. Talk about an entertaining week! Brent's family, including his Aunt and Uncle and their grandson came to visit over the weekend. While the weather was rainy all weekend, we still spent the majority of the time downtown and at the balloon festival. I got to introduce Riley to "Sister Hazel" I have never seen the girl dance so much. Monday was dooms day...not really. I was blessed to be surrounded by family on my 30th birthday. The best part of the day was Riley singing happy birthday to me. :-) KJ graduated from Hight School on Monday as well and the balloons finally took off for the first time all weekend. Then Wednesday came... I actually thought I should go to the gym at 35 weeks pregnant. (can you see where this is going?) I didn't even get to the treadmill before I tripped and twisted my ankle. Trying to save my pride I crawled out of the gym (mostly unseen) before I began to scream my head off. The best part, I didn't have my phone so I would have to drive my 5 speed back to the house. (Heaven forbid I just use the gym phone to call home for help.) 24 hours later, confirmation. No break, just a nasty sprain and a scolding from doctors, family and friends to stop trying to do everything for myself. I will add some pictures of the weekend soon. Chandler took a lot of pictures. For an 11 year old he has pretty mad skills. I am a bit jealous.

Always on my phone

Ashley and Miranda's wedding

Ashley and Miranda got married on April 18th under the Oaks at her family's ranch. It was picture perfect with the wind swaying the moss and their closest friends and family surrounding them.

Riley was their flower girl. She had a ball dancing and
running around ranch. She met Warren and he taught her how to do push ups...in her dress!
